What OOPS is

OOPS is a primarily PvE focused guild, since that is what we know best. However, we expect to branch out into more PvP events in future.
Although 'friendly' and 'helpful' have become guild recruiting buzzwords these days, they are adjectives that nevertheless describe us well. In terms of structure, we have sporadic planned events that range from elite mission outings to challenges of linguistic skill. We do not faction farm, and no events are considered compulsory. We have a fairly well equipped Imperial-style guild hall as well as a dashing guild cape. Click here to take a virtual tour of the guild hall and view our cape.

Even as OOPS grows, we want to maintain that same family atmosphere, building a close-knit community of guild members. As such, we have a few guiding principles for the guild:

1. Willingness to learn

We all have different levels of experience with the game. However, whether one is a hardened GW veteran or a first-time purchaser, there is always more to learn and explore. Even as a guild we are continually learning how we work together as a team and the best ways to overcome the hardest challenges the game throws at us.

2. Willingness to teach

This goes hand-in-hand with the first guiding principle above. Just as we each have something to learn, chances are we each have something we can teach someone else. We're never too busy to answer questions or to show a guildie the ropes in an area of the game they are unfamiliar with.

3. Grace for mistakes

Mistakes are bound to happen. They range from lagging out at a crucial moment to not paying attention and letting the team die when you're supposed to be monking to taking that quest in the Underworld that brings swarms of enemies and annihilates the team. It's not a big deal. We're not going to be angry with you, since we've been there before. As long as you've learned something from the experience, it's all well and good.

4. Fun and randomness

If you've taken the time to browse our picture gallery you'll notice that we are sometimes a silly guild, and that we love to have fun. Several of us also have a very random sense of humour leading to many unpredictable and hilarious conversation twists. When all is said and done, we realize that Guild Wars is a game, and as such should not be taken too seriously. Logging on should never seem like a chore, but rather an opportunity to hang out with great people and enjoy yourself.

Things that OOPS is NOT:

We do not tolerate violations of the Guild Wars code of conduct. Certain violations may end in the termination of your guild membership. If you haven't read the Code of Conduct, I encourage you to do so here.
