| So you want to join us? |
|
The Nudger wants YOU for our guild! So you want to join OOPS eh? Well, before you do anything else, you need to make sure you've read the 'About Us' page HERE, and also our Alliance Charter. This is probably the most important step in the application process. If there is something in either of these pages that you disagree with, you're better off saving yourself the trouble and moving on to a different guild. If those policies and principles sound like exactly what you want in a guild, then keep reading! The next step is to fill out our written application. Try to see this as an opportunity to allow us to get to know you a bit, and don't just write down single-word answers. But then again, don't think that you have to write a novel either. Have some fun with the app. Also, the question about which campaigns you own is purely for us to be able to plan to quest with you. We accept people into the guild based on whether we think they'd have fun with us, and vice versa, not how many Hard Mode missions they've beaten or titles they've achieved. The following application can be copied and pasted into your email, and sent to oopsguild[at]gmail.com. We will try to email you back within a day or two of receiving your application. If it looks like you might fit in well with our motley crew, we'll set up some times to quest with you over the next week or so, and allow us to get to know each other a bit more. After that, if you're still confident that OOPS is the guild for you, we'll conduct the INTERVIEW OF DOOM (don't be scared....there's a whole lot more ice cream than there is doom) and that's all, I promise. OOPS New Member Application 1. Name of primary character: 2. Which campaigns do you own? 3. What is your favourite part of playing GW? 4. How did you find out about OOPS? 5. From what you have seen, what do you like best about OOPS? 6. What is the preferred method of transportation of the Elite Lemur Invasion Force? 7. What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? THE END! I know this seems like a lot of work, but we're not ones for guild-hopping. OOPS is a family, and our guildmates are people we know and trust. By inviting you to join us, you become an OOPSer for life (sometimes people move on, but we still keep in touch with them and even have a section for Honourary Members on our member profiles page!) and we will always be there to kill some charr with you after a long day at school or work, and chat with you about anything and everything. Hope to hear from you soon! |
