Q: How should I submit a profile picture?

A: Just take a regular screenshot of your picture that you'd like to be used in your profile.  Send the file to oopsguild[at]gmail.com and we will photoshop it and post it for you.  Try to make your picture as high quality as possible, and zoomed in on your character if you can.  To take a screenshot without all the menus on it, press Shift + Print Screen, and the picture will be saved in your 'Screens' folder default by Guild Wars.

Q: I know some photoshop.  Can I make my own picture?

You certainly can!  Make sure your picture is 250x250 pixels, and saved in .jpg or .png format, and also make sure that your character's name is displayed somewhere on the picture.  Otherwise, you're free to use all of your artistic talents.

Q: I don't know photoshop, but I have some specifications about how my picture should look.

That's fine.  Just write your specifications in the email and we'll try as best we can to satisfy your requirements.  We're not professionals though, so if your picture doesn't turn out exactly how you envisioned, there's not too much we can do.

Q: What should I write about in my profile?

You can write about whatever you want, as long as it's about you.  Remember, you're not writing a profile for your character, your writing about yourself.  You can include your name, character names, age, gaming background, GW background, favourite colour, favourite ice cream, hobbies, profession, any or all or none of the above.

Q: I've already written my profile, but I want to change it or it's become outdated.

You can change or update your profile as often as you would like.  Just email the revised profile to the guild email address and we'll have that changed right away for you.

Q: Can I change my profile picture too?

Yes you can.  Just email the new picture to the guild email with a short note asking for your profile pic to be updated.   Either the raw screenshot (in which case we'll photoshop it for you) or a pre-made .jpg of the right size.
